I got sick and tired of trying to track job applications, so I scratched my own itch.
Why I built a browser extension instead of another feature
In the spirit of building in public, I wanted to share a bit of my thought process when trying to improve my job search.
One of the problems I ran into is that a lot of jobs on LinkedIn are locked into the site and they want you to apply right there. No external links, just all locked inside of LinkedIn’s garden. This was a pain for tracking jobs in one place.
The solution? A browser extension that let’s you save jobs with one click.
Once it’s saved, you can track your application status, your resume, any notes, the job description, salary, and anything else of interest.
So over the weekend I built a little browser extension that injects a “Save to Job Tracker” button on every job page. It captures the content and saves it for you so you can make your job search easier.
My favorite features of JobTracker are that you can upload multiple resumes, track status, and keep on top of jobs that you’ve applied to track your progress. When you get an email back you can save that content inside of the job (I’ve received a few rejections, so I copy/paste that email into a note on the job so I can reference it later). The more jobs you track, the better. It’s a numbers game.
I’ve also started using AI to help compare your resume(s) to job posts to give you a full breakdown, but I’ll discuss that in a future post—it feels a bit like magic.
🧭 Tracking jobs sucks up your time
If you're anything like me, job hunting usually looks like this:
A dozen open tabs
A spreadsheet you promised yourself you'd keep updated
Random bookmarks you’ll definitely forget about
And a desktop that turns into a document graveyard of resumes, cover letters, and screenshots
So I built something to fix that.
🚀 JobTracker helps you stay organized while searching for your next role.
And now, it just got even better — with a one-click browser extension for LinkedIn.
👉 You can Get the extension here
🔁 With one click, you can save any job you find on LinkedIn directly to your tracker — job title, company, location, description, even a screenshot. No copy/paste, no clutter, no forgetting which job you already applied for.

It’s totally free to use right now, and I’d love your feedback. If you're job hunting (or helping someone who is), give it a try and let me know what you think. Feedback is super important for this and I’d love to hear it!
